The Consulate Room is found on the first floor of Casa Llotja de Mar. On the ceiling is a mural work by Pere Pau i Montaña, painted in 1802 to mark Charles IV’s visit to the Llotja, an allegory of royal power.
The walls are clad in red damask upholstery. Beneath the canopy of the pediment is the portrait of Antoni de Capmany i de Montpalau (1742-1812), the work of Modest Teixidor i Torres.
